Orange Eye Blue Tigers

So Ive obviously settled in enough to get some new livestock. I probably jumped the gun on that but couldnt help it as I experienced livestock purchasing moratorium while the house was on the market. That seemed like an eternity so I had to get what Ive wanted all this time...blue tigers...not just any blue tigers but orange eyed blue tigers. Also known as OEBT to the shrimp crowd.

In addition to the oebts I got some new apistogramma as well. Bitaeniata Curutu to be exact. They are treating me real well. More on those later.

Now back to the tigers. I got them from a real good source...Thanks Donna! She has a top notch setup and excellent stock.

My tigers are mid-dark blue some smaller ones are a little lighter color. The stripes are amazing and the orange eyes are downright alien-like. After a week of hiding they finally came out for some food and I snapped a few pics which I will add asap. They seem more like a crab than a shrimp. I didnt see them much at first and caught them hiding from me in a cave.

These shrimp seem to have the same preferences as the crystals so I figured why not. I dont mix them with crystals in fear of cross breeding but its easy enough to manage keeping these too with same requirements in regards to parameters.
