Living Near the Park

One of the things I'm lovin about the new house is living near the park. I finally got the means to get my bike home after the move...thanks for wrecking the van bro...haha ;) Anyways I took it out right away to the hills of the nearby park. My ride was a great nature filled scenic exercise. My biggest challenge was a shortcut I took from the house to the park...a steep hill with path in grass...some shortcut that turned out to be but it felt woodsy and it was the path I took with my uncle when I was a young kid. I already set the bar and looking forward to beating my time.

My first ride was a short 5.5 miles of hilly terrain. It was my first time on a bike in over a year and it was awesome.

If you love the outdoors like I do then make sure you pay attention to nearby areas when choosing your home. People thought I was nuts when I was judging houses from satellite view on the map without even seeing them. Look at me now ;) If the house wasnt near woods or park it was out of the question. Now I am enjoying the fruits of my picky over analytical behavior. Do what you like and you will be happy. :)
